Terms of Service
The rules and conditions for using Deal Duplicate Finder.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using Deal Duplicate Finder ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Application.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Troo Inbound ("we", "us", "Company"), the operator of Deal Duplicate Finder. These Terms apply to all users who access the Application through the HubSpot Marketplace.
2. Description of Service
Deal Duplicate Finder is a HubSpot Marketplace application that:
- Scans deal records in your connected HubSpot account to identify potential duplicates
- Groups duplicate deal records for your review
- Allows you to configure merge rules and select a primary deal record per duplicate group
- Executes deal merge operations via the HubSpot CRM API upon your explicit instruction
- Maintains a history of scan requests and merge operations performed
- Supports export of duplicate reports as CSV for offline review
The Application is an independent product developed by Troo Inbound and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially supported by HubSpot, Inc.
3. HubSpot Integration and OAuth Authorization
The Application connects to your HubSpot account via OAuth 2.0. By authorizing the Application, you grant it the following permissions:
- crm.objects.deals.read — to read your deal records for duplicate scanning
- crm.objects.deals.write — to execute deal merge operations you initiate
- crm.schemas.deals.read — to read deal property definitions for scan configuration
- crm.objects.contacts.read (optional) — for additional contact context
- crm.objects.companies.read (optional) — for additional company context
- crm.objects.owners.read (optional) — for owner information
- crm.export (conditionally required) — to export deal data for processing
You may revoke access at any time from your HubSpot account settings under Connected Apps. Revoking access will stop the Application from accessing your HubSpot data.
You are solely responsible for reviewing duplicate groups and selecting records for merge. Deal merges executed via the HubSpot API are permanent and cannot be undone. We strongly recommend reviewing all duplicate groups carefully before executing a merge.
4. Data Usage and Privacy
We access only the HubSpot data necessary to provide the service. Deal data is temporarily processed on our backend servers to detect duplicates and is not sold, shared, or transferred to any third party. For full details on how we handle your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree that you will:
- Only connect HubSpot portals for which you have administrative authorization
- Review all duplicate groups carefully before executing merge operations
- Accept full responsibility for merge operations you initiate within the Application
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, scrape, or abuse the Application or its API endpoints
- Not use the Application for any unlawful purpose or in violation of HubSpot's terms of service
- Maintain the confidentiality of your HubSpot account credentials
- Ensure your use complies with all applicable data protection laws including GDPR where applicable
6. Irreversibility of Merge Operations
Deal merges are permanent operations executed via HubSpot's native Merge API. We make no warranties regarding the ability to reverse or undo any merge operation. Before using the Application:
- We recommend exporting a backup of your HubSpot deal data before bulk merges
- We recommend testing with a small batch before performing large-scale merges
- You acknowledge that merged records cannot be separated after the merge is complete
- Troo Inbound accepts no liability for data loss resulting from merge operations you initiate
7. Access and Pricing
Deal Duplicate Finder is provided as a free application. There are no paid subscription tiers, no credit card required, and no usage fees. All features are included at no cost to users who install the app through the HubSpot App Marketplace.

- Continued free access is subject to fair use and compliance with these Terms
8. Service Availability
We aim to provide reliable and consistent uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Application depends on HubSpot's API infrastructure, which may experience independent downtime. Troo Inbound is not liable for service interruptions caused by:
- HubSpot platform outages or API changes
- Third-party infrastructure or hosting failures
- Scheduled maintenance windows (communicated in advance where possible)
- Force majeure events beyond our reasonable control
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Application will be error-free or uninterrupted.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Troo Inbound shall not be liable for:
- Any loss of CRM data resulting from merge operations you initiate
- Indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages
- Lost profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Damages resulting from HubSpot API outages, deprecations, or changes
- Unauthorized access to your HubSpot account by third parties
As the Application is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Application shall not exceed $100 USD.
11. Intellectual Property
The Application, including its source code, design, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Troo Inbound. The HubSpot name and logo are trademarks of HubSpot, Inc. and are used solely to describe the Application's integration with HubSpot. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, or create derivative works based on the Application without our express written consent.
12. Termination
You may terminate your use of the Application at any time by disconnecting it from your HubSpot account via HubSpot's Connected Apps settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you:
- Violate any provision of these Terms
- Abuse, misuse, or attempt to exploit the Application or its API
- Misuse or abuse the Application beyond reasonable use
- Engage in fraudulent or unlawful activity
Upon termination, your right to use the Application ceases immediately and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email to your registered address or via in-app notification. Continued use of the Application after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must discontinue use of the Application.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in India. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any dispute informally before initiating legal proceedings.
15. HubSpot Marketplace Compliance
This Application is listed on the HubSpot Marketplace and complies with HubSpot's App Partner Program policies and Marketplace listing requirements. We agree to maintain compliance with HubSpot's usage policies and API terms throughout the listing period.
